We are looking for dental clinics and dental hygienists to collaborate in the production of custom mouthguards. We are looking for partners who can take digital impressions of our customers' mouths using a scanner.

Collaboration offers an opportunity to reach new customers and increase visibility – we will direct customers directly to you for scanning, and we will name you as an official collaborating clinic on our website.

The collaboration is flexible and non-binding – the most important thing is that the customer receives a high-quality scan, on which the fit of the protectors is based.

Instructions for scanning

1. Vestibular area and upper lip frenulum
The scan should cover the entire maxillary vestibule, including the area above the mucogingival line. It is particularly important that the scan extends from under the lip to the top of the sulcus, so that the frenulum is also included in the scan. This allows the edges of the mouthguard to be designed so that they do not cause discomfort in the area of mobile soft tissues and the protection can be made sufficiently high in the anterior area.
2. Buccal soft tissue attachments
The buccal mucosa, such as the attachment points of the cheek muscles and the lateral tendons, should also be scanned carefully. At the border of the cheek and the gum, the so-called muco-buccal area, there may be tendons or folds that are important to include in the scan. If they are left out, the shield may be uncomfortable or it may press on the tissues and come off more easily.
3. Palatal side, molars and lower jaw
The scan should cover the palatal surfaces of the teeth and the gingival plane and the rugae area in outline. The model does not need to extend to the midline of the palate. The scan can be stopped approximately halfway between the posterior molars, as long as the above areas are definitely included. Also scan the lower jaw and the occlusal teeth together as normal.
